Bioinformatics

Our group has experience in a wide range of bioinformatics approaches including genomics, transcriptomics, statistics and software development. In our studies we used several model organisms and also we are opened for any collaboration.

In genomics we participate genome assembly projects, genomic data analysis (BAC sequencing, Illumina and ONT whole genome sequencing, amplicon sequencing) gene prediction and genome annotation, genome wide association studies (GWAS), Chip-seq, transposable element reconstruction and in sex chromosomes specific genomics.

By transcriptome analysis we are able to perform RNAseq and differential expression analysis and gene ontology (GO) enrichment and statistical analysis. We have also the experience with small RNA data.

Special role has a phylogenetic data analysis from genomic and transcriptomic datasets.

Recently, our group started to develop bioinformatics software (LinkYX, BisPrimer, TE-greedy-nester) and established several protocols and pipelines for CRISPR/Cas9 nuclease efficiency testing, tandem repeats analysis, identification of contaminants in cell cultures etc.
